CENTER TWP — A rummage and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 and 7 at Free Methodist Church, 49 Oneida Valley Road.Proceeds benefit Michelle Hoover of Butler, who will undergo a small bowel transplant due to Chron's disease.

BUTLER TWP — Lifesteps is now enrolling for the Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program for 3- and 4-year-old children.The state-funded program at VA Butler Healthcare is designed for children who may be at risk of academic failure due to low income, language, and cultural or developmental concerns.To register or for more information, call Maureen Lee at 724-283-1010.

BUTLER TWP — Donations of shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, photos and letters are being sought for the Operation Christmas Child Program.The holiday program, organized by Samaritan's Purse, sends gifts to children in need worldwide.As part of a national collection week, gift boxes will be accepted Nov. 16 to 23 at St. John's Reformed Church, 493 Evans City Road.
