The Art Center, 344 S. Main St., will host a visit from Santa Claus from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Santa will give out candy and comic book samplers and entertainer Brian Sholes will lead a Christmas sing-along.

The Art Center is a collection point for Toys For Tots, so guests who are able are asked to take a new toy to donate.

A used book sale will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Butler Library, 218 N. McKean St.Items for sale include children's books and Christmas gifts.

RIMERSBURG — Union High School, 354 Baker St., will host two free holiday concerts, at which the music department will collect donations of nonperishable food items to be donated to area food banks.• A Christmas concert will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 and feature the elementary band and choirs.• "An Old-Fashioned Christmas" concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10 and feature the junior and senior high school bands.

BUTLER TWP —Lifesteps will soon kick off its fourth annual Holiday Spirit Basket Campaign with multiple ticket auctions.The campaign benefits Lifesteps' Family Caring Fund.Lifesteps' auction baskets will be on display from Dec. 7 to 18 at its program center, 383 New Castle Road.Tickets can be purchased from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. JEFFERSON TWP — The Knoch High School Knochettes will hold a dance clinic for students in first to eighth grade from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at Knoch High School, 345 Knoch Road, with a performance on Dec. 22.Pre-registration is encouraged to guarantee T-shirt availability.
