Angelica M. Galan

Angelica M. Galan, 88, of Butler, formerly of Cabot, passed away Monday at the Bendview Personal Care Home, which is owned by her daughter, Nancy Edwards. She was surrounded by her loving daughters.

Born Nov. 28, 1921, in Butler, she was the daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Bauldoff) Kriley.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the St. John Church of Coylesville.

She enjoyed gardening, farming and playing cards.

Surviving are her children, Sara (Jack) Schick of Columbus, Ohio, Mary Lou (Vince) Kuzdrowski of West Sunbury, Nancy (Paul) Edwards of Butler, Janet (Ted) Collins of Butler, Jean Collmar of Butler, Christine (James) Fallecker of Chicora, Louise (Gary) Martin of Butler, Van (Marsha) Galan of Cabot and Louis Galan of Cabot; her sisters, Lois Jakubisin of Washington state and Mary (Raymond) Matson of Butler; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, George Galan, who passed away in 2000; four brothers; five sisters; and two great-grandchildren.

<B>GALAN</B> — A memorial Mass for Angelica M. Galan, who died Monday, June 14, 2010, will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church with the Rev. Mark Carter, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery in Herman.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Medi Home Hospice, 103 Rhoda Ave., Leechburg, PA 15656; the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 810 River Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212; or Lifesteps Inc., 383 New Castle Road, Butler, PA 16001.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
