PENN TWP — The Knoch High School Football Boosters will sponsor a season opening tailgate fundraiser from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Penn Glade Lions Club Park, 140 Church Road. Ticket price includes food and beverages. The event also includes games, raffles and door prizes.

FORD CITY — The Armstrong School District will conduct the General Educational Development 2002 test from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 14 and 15 at the Ford City High School library, Fourth Avenue and 11th Street. Registration deadline is Sept. 10.Applicants must be Pennsylvania residents, be at least 18 years old and not enrolled in school. Those 16 to 18 must present a written request from an employer, a school or an armed forces recruiting officer.
