There will be two movies playing simultaneously in different rooms — a scary movie and a movie that is not scary.

Weekend bundle drive scheduled

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Paul Parish conference is sponsoring a bundle drive on Oct. 20 and 21.

The society truck will be in St. Paul’s parking lot, 128 N. McKean St., to receive gently used clothing and furniture.

No electronic devices will be accepted.

Blood drive planned at Legion

ZELIENOPLE — The Red Cross will hold a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 23 at the American Legion, 308 W. New Castle St., Zelienople.

Workshop tackles child money issues

BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Community College Center for Economic Education will be sponsoring a workshop about money management for teachers and parents of children in grades 5-12 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23, in the Humanities/Social Studies Building room 144.

There is no cost but reservations are needed to make the proper preparations.

Ask the Experts series beginning

BUTLER TWP — Lifesteps will sponsor its first free educational series, “Ask the Experts,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Lifesteps Butler County Program Center, 383 New Castle Road.

This session will offer seniors and families information on identity theft, elder abuse and risk prevention from professionals. Light refreshments will be served.

Free common shop slated at church

CENTER TWP — Fall Common Shop will take place at 10 a.m. Oct. 20 in the Fellowship Hall of North Main Street Church of God.

The doors will open at 9 a.m. and a free hot breakfast will be served.

Common Shop was established as a way to share material goods to those in need.

Nothing is sold and is for personal use only. There are no income limitations.

Entrance will be determined by lottery system, not by the order you enter the building.

Donations will be accepted starting Monday.
