The Butler Lions Club is having a sausage sale featuring three kinds of freshly ground sausage: sage, hot and salt and pepper.

Order by Nov. 2 by calling the Butler Blind Association at 724-287-4059.

Orders may be picked up from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Nov. 7 at the rear entrance to the Blind Association building on North Cedar Street.

The Lifesteps’ Child Check team will conduct free screenings in November:

9 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 2, Butler YMCA, 339 N. Washington St.

9 a.m. to noon Nov. 16, Lifesteps Butler County Program Center, 383 New Castle Road

A Child Check visit takes about 30 minutes and the results are discussed immediately with the parents.

The screening evaluates the child’s development in playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking.

SAXONBURG — The GFWC Saxonburg District Woman’s Club will sponsor an afternoon tea from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 7 at St. Luke’s Centennial Hall, 310 W. Main St. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m.

The “Tea and Harmony” event will include a light luncheon, entertainment and a basket raffle.
