Helen M. Zima

Helen M. Zima, 94, of Butler died Sunday, Nov. 8, at St. John's Specialty Care in Mars.

Born Nov. 18, 1920, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Gretchula) Muchicko.

Helen was retired from Butler School District, where she worked for 25 years. She had volunteered for many years at VA Butler Healthcare Medical Center and the Knights of Columbus.

She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, the 55 alive club and was one of the original founding trustees of the Robinettes.

She was an excellent seamstress, as she made many beautiful wedding gowns, loved bus rides, enjoyed her days going to Lifesteps and loved her family.

She was the wife of Andrew S. Zima for 59 years. He died March 24, 2001.

Surviving are her three children, Andrew D. (Sandra) Zima, Karen (Ron) Clamidori and Betsy (Bob) Livorio; one grandson, Matthew (Heather) Livorio; great-grandchildren Vincent, Anthony and Matthew Livorio; and her cat Buddy.

ZIMA — A life celebration and memorial Mass for Helen M. Zima, who died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.Arrangements were handled by Geibel Funeral Home, of Butler.
