Aviation scholarships open
The Aviation Council of Pennsylvania has opened two scholarship submission periods that support careers and career opportunities in aviation.
The Aviation Educational Institutions Scholarship Program is for applicants who attend training or conduct student career and technical education preparation programs outside the state. Award levels range from $500 to $1,000 per scholarship, according to a news release from the council.
Training includes helping future aviators understand job duties and responsibilities and explains wages, benefits, job outlook and the process of becoming an aviation professional.
The program assists applicants in the attainment of their aviation career goals. Scholarship award levels range from $1,000 or greater per scholarship, as funds become available, the news release said.
The scholarships are available to students in aviation technology, aviation management and professional piloting.
Scholarship applications must be received or postmarked by July 7. Email submissions are accepted through email at info@acpfly.com.
