March 13 through 17 proclaimed 4-H week

On Wednesday, March 1, the Butler County Commissioners recently proclaimed March 13 through 17 as Pennsylvania 4-H week this year.

Butler County has nearly 30 different 4-H clubs with more than 300 members taking small and large animal projects, sewing and baking, and robotics projects among others. 4-H also reaches an additional 1,200 youths through in-school programming throughout Butler County in elementary and high school settings.

Butler County 4-H is a positive youth development program coordinated by Penn State Extension Educators that support youth members and adult volunteers for program delivery, according to a news release from Butler County 4-H.
