Crawford Bolten
Crawford Goehring “Dook” Bolten, 86, of Butler, passed away on Feb. 22, 2023, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
He was born March 24, 1936, in Butler Township, and was the son of the late Frederick A.L. Bolten and the late Minda Mary Geohring Bolten.
Crawford was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora.
He worked as a welder in the silicon department at Butler Armco, retiring in 1996 after 30 years of service.
Crawford was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church.
Crawford is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lou Bolten, whom he married on Oct. 1, 1965; one son, Jamie M. (Victoria) Bolten of Renfrew; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Scott Michael Bolten; two sisters; and two brothers.
BOLTEN — Friends of Crawford Goehring “Dook” Bolten, who died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Leigh Benish officiating.
Officers and members of American Legion Post 117, American Legion Post 778 and VFW Post 249 will conduct military services before the funeral service at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the donor’s favorite charity, or the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
