Taeko Whitesell
Taeko Whitesell, 91, of Saxonburg passed away Friday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Aug. 1, 1926, in Tokyo, Japan, and was the daughter of the late Kisuke Nawano and the late Hana Fuseki.
Mrs. Whitesell was the owner and operator of Whitesell Beauty Shop in Butler, along with her husband before retiring in 1988.
She is survived by her two sons, George Whitesell of Butler, and Richard L. Whitesell Jr. and his wife, Linda, of New Castle; two daughters, Mary Ann McFadden and her husband, James, of Carrollton, Ga., and Alice Ruth Josephs of Butler; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Nobuko Kuwabara of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Whitesell, who passed away Oct. 8, 2012; and one brother, Ichro Nawano.
