Arthur Marbell
Arthur “Artie” Daniel Marbell Jr., 73, of Prospect, passed away Saturday morning, Feb. 18, 2023, while at the inpatient hospice in the VA Butler Healthcare Community Living Center.
“When they lay me down someday My soul will rise, then fly away. This old world will turn around, I’ll be at peace when they lay me down.”
Born Oct. 25, 1949, in Butler, he was the son of the late Arthur D. and Clara Attenberg Marbell Sr.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who faithfully served active duty and reserves from 1974 to 1980. Throughout his life, he was a general laborer and worked various jobs, and he was also a truck driver for a few years. Artie enjoyed tinkering in his garage, building wood projects and fishing. He loved his animal pets.
He is survived by his wife, Lorinda E. Dinger Wise Marbell; his daughter, Shelly (Steven) Wilson of East Brady; three grandchildren, Landon, Leah and Alex; a sister, Eileen Roxbury of Prospect, and a niece and nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mindy Marbell.
