COLLEGE NOTES
Melanie Buczko (Butler), Bucknell University track and field sophomore, was named Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week for winning the pole vault (12 feet, 11½ inches) at the Jim Thorpe Invitational at State College. Buczko also placed third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.37 seconds.
