JEFF WAGNER (Karns City)recorded 10 tackles as the Thiel College football team defeated Carnegie Mellon University 50-48 in triple overtime Saturday.The Tomcats (10-0), the President's Athletic Conference Champion, will host Johns Hopkins University in a NCAA Division III first-round playoff game at 12 p.m. Saturday. It is the Tomcats' first NCAA Division III bid.

T.J. McCANCE (Butler)won all three of his matches for the Clarion wrestling team at the Penn State Duals Saturday. McCance defeated Phil DeGaetano of York College (3-1), Jay Matteo of Pitt-Johnstown and 11-0 over Robert Hinderer of Williamson Trade 11-0. Clarion went 1-2 in the tourney, defeating Wiiliamson 49-0.
