HARMONY — Historic Harmony will sponsor the Allegheny Brass Band concert celebrating U.S. independence at 8 p.m. Thursday. The concert is free and will be performed in front of the Harmony Inn, 230 Mercer St., with fireworks to follow.

Kevin Kammerdiener benefit events set

The following fundraising events will benefit Kevin Kammerdiener of East Brady, who was wounded recently during military service in Afghanistan.

• A yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Plaza Pantry restaurant on Water Street, East Brady. Donations can be dropped off at 6 p.m. the previous day.

• A Karaoke for Kevin event beginning at 9 p.m. featuring Tunesmith at the St. Cloud on Kelly's Way, East Brady.

• Bracelets and T-shirts will be sold at a booth July 18 through 20 at the Riverfest celebration.

• A spaghetti dinner, bake sale and Chinese auction will be from 1 to 4 p.m. July 27 at the American Legion hall on Route 68, Bradys Bend. Tickets will be sold at EB Fresh Market, UniMart, St. Cloud, Plaza Pantry and other locations.

BUTLER TWP — The Penn State Butler County Master Gardeners will host a free question-and-answer session from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the group's demonstration vegetable garden in Butler Township.The garden is in the community gardens in front of the Butler County Communications Center. The session will focus on garden maintenance and pest management. Free parking is located near the garden.

CONNOQUENESSING TWP — The Herald family reunion will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Connoquenessing Park on Constitution Avenue. A direction sign will be on Route 68.The theme for the reunion is patriotic and members should wear red, white and blue and should take food to share. Table service, beverages, hot dogs, buns and condiments will be provided.

The 17th biannual Reep Family Association reunion is set for July 11 to 13. Registration will begin at 4 p.m. July 11 at the Butler Days Inn.
