Community invited to pray for Ukraine on grim anniversary
The public is invited to join in a vigil to pray for Ukraine and the country’s citizens on the first anniversary of the Russian invasion there.
The Rev. Yurii Bobko invites all those who are concerned about the increasingly desperate situation in Ukraine to attend the vigil at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 21 Evergreen Road, Lyndora.
Prayers will be lifted for Ukraine, the people who are suffering there due to the invasion, and families who have left their homes to find safety.
Prayers of thanks will be offered for those who have taken in Ukrainians who have fled their war-torn country as well as donors who have generously supported the Ukrainian people over the past year.
