W. Robert “Bob” Haug
W. Robert “Bob” Haug, 80, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully Sunday at Fellowship Manor surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Butler, he was the son of the late Walter Albert and Catherine Harriet Kenst Haug. He was the husband of Shirley Otterson Haug for 59 years.
Bob was a 1954 graduate of Butler High School where he played football. He went on to attend Allegheny College where he earned his bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing.
While at Allegheny College, Bob was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and a notable running back on the Allegheny football team.
Bob started his career in the medical industry with Burron Medical and then with his entrepreneurial prowess opened Valley Medical and Surgical Supply and later Valley Healthcare. He was a former member of the Bethlehem Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons.
Bob was active in Big Brothers and Sisters of Easton and a member of the Bethlehem Steel Breakfast Club. He was an enthusiastic member of the Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.
Bob had a great affinity for fine and classic cars and a deep love for family, church and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild and could always make you smile with a joke or a fun story.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Shirley; his daughters, Sheri Lynn Stehly and her companion, Jack Barras, Linda Robin Conti and Cynthia Haug Fenza and her husband, Joseph, all of Bethlehem; his sister, Sallie Bartley of Birmingham, Ala.; his brother, Jim Haug and his wife, Linda, of Dayton, Ohio; his grandchildren, Tanya Conti Vazquez and her husband, Michael, and their daughter, Amelia, Kristy Conti, Matthew R. Fenza and Robert A. Fenza.

Robert “Bob” Haug, who died Sunday, April 16, 2017, may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, and from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2700 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem, Pa.
