Butler school district approves change orders for expansion
The Butler Area School District board approved nearly $78,000 in change orders for the classroom expansion and auxiliary gym addition at its Monday, Feb. 13, meeting.
Students are expected to begin moving into the new classrooms in the wing addition at Butler Senior High School in late March.
The board also approved a $12,151 change order for a supplemental steel support, according to a summary provided by Eckles Construction Services.
Also needed were change orders of $17,885 for a duct coil, $1,030 for flooring material and $617 for locker room renovation and door positioning.
A request for additional compensation as a result of purchase delays and availability also accounted for a $46,177 change order.
