FREEPORT — Orders are now being accepted for Easter kolachi and Paska breads and rolls being prepared at St. Mary Mother of God Church, 608 High Street, Freeport.
Orders for nut rolls, apricot and poppy seed rolls and raisin Paska bread will be accepted through Monday. Orders can be picked up after the 4 p.m. Mass April 8 and after the 8:30 and 11 a.m. masses April 9.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Institute for Learning in Retirement at Slippery Rock University is planning a trip April 7 to see the "Clash of Empires: The British, French and Indian War" exhibit at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh.Cost is $43 and includes admission, tour and transportation. KARNS CITY — A celebration will be held from noon to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fairview Township Municipal Building to benefit The Nicholas G. Dunlap Memorial Scholarship Fund.The event will include live music. Admission to the event is $2. Food and drink, Chinese auction tickets, children's activities, door prizes and raffle tickets will be available.
CONNOQUENESSING TWP — Acancer benefit for Patrick Henricks will be held from noon to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Hindman Hall, Evans City Road.The event will include live music, a live auction, raffles and kids games.The Ethel Rovito Cancer Foundation is sponsoring the event.
SLIPPERY ROCK — Ameeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Luigi's Restaurant, South Main Street, for members of the the Slippery Rock Heritage Days Festival planning group.The meeting is open to anyone who is interested in the local heritage of the town of Slippery Rock or those with pictures, stories or memorabilia of interest.
