Marie S. Krapf

Marie S. Krapf, 88, of Mars, formerly of Conyngham, Pa., died Wednesday evening at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born March 18, 1929, in Hazleton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret O’Donnell Schiefer.

Marie was a registered nurse, most recently for White Haven State School.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Hazleton and enjoyed the activities at Drums Senior Center.

Surviving are her daughter, Jayne Hill and her husband, Gregg, of Mars; two sisters, Sister Clare Christi Schiefer of Harrisburg and Betty Lou Cerciello of Allentown; her brother, John Schiefer of Pardesville, Pa., and her grandchildren, Jeremy, Katie and Jaymie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Krapf; his son, J. Wayne Krapf; and his brother, Edward Schiefer.

KRAPF — The family of Marie S. Krapf, who died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 24 at Adams Ridge Club House on Adams Ridge Boulevard in Mars, with a celebration of her life beginning at 6 p.m. with Rev. Terry Mann, pastor of Deer Creek Presbyterian Church, officiating.

He will share scripture, prayer and some personal memories of Marie and invite others to also. Light refreshments will be served. A graveside service in Hazleton will be conducted later.
