Rakarich

Blaine A. “Rukka” Rakarich, 52, of West Sunbury, passed away at his residence on Monday, Feb. 13, 2023.

Born Jan. 28, 1971, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Robert A. Rakarich and the late Elizabeth L. Amszi Rakarich.

He was employed for 34 years as a CNC operator at United Plate Glass Company.

While Rukka enjoyed radio-controlled cars and three-gun shoots, his number one enjoyment was motorcycles and his cats.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara J. Dunlop Rakarich, whom he married May 21, 2011; his father, Robert A. Rakarich of Butler; three siblings, Rebecca Jackman and her partner, Jon McMurdy, of Slippery Rock, Brian Rakarich and his wife, Christie, of Butler, and Brad Rakarich and his wife, Bonnie, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth L. Amszi Rakarich.

RAKARICH — Friends of Blaine A. “Rukka” Rakarich, who died Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Herman.
