Sandra M. "Sandy" (Collins) Powhutsky, 75, of Buffalo Township, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.

Born April 13, 1947, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late James and Doris (Smith) Collins.

Sandy was a Class of 1965 Fox Chapel High School graduate. She worked as a secretary for Gulf Research in Harmar Township, Westinghouse Defense and Space Center in Baltimore, PerkinElmer Genetics in Fox Chapel and Weleski Transfer in Tarentum. Sandy was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Carl C. Powhutsky; her daughter, Alicia (Nicholas) Bubash, of Sarver; a grandson, Jaxon Bubash; two brothers, Charles Collins and Mike Collins, of Fox Chapel; and two sisters, Kathy Richard, of Zelienople, and Chris Aupperle, of Fox Chapel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Collins; and her sister, Patricia "Patti" Czako.

POWHUTSKY — A private funeral liturgy outside of Mass for Sandra M. "Sandy" (Collins) Powhutsky, who died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, will be held at the PAUL R. AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 2 Pine St. at River Ave., Natrona, with Father Andrew Fischer presiding.

Burial will be private in Sarversville Cemetery.
