A spaghetti dinner fundraiser to aid the family of a young cancer patient, Aiden Bartley, of Butler, will be from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 18 at Highfield Community Center, 229 Highfield Road, Butler Township.

In addition to dinner, there will be a basket raffle, a 50/50 raffle and a balloon artist.

Bartley, 9, was diagnosed with stage 4 adult pancreatic adenocarcinoma. The diagnosis has put strain on the Bartley family. His mother is unable to work outside the home, and his father must use unpaid time off from his job to take Aiden to the hospital and for chemotherapy.

The family’s medical insurance pays for the chemotherapy sessions, but the family needs assistance to make rent, utility and car payments and to pay for gasoline.
