NEW CASTLE — A woman and her daughter died in an overnight house fire that also injured a father and son.
State police identified the victims as Kalle Convery, 33, and her daughter, Aidan Kelley, 9.
The girl's father, Andrew Kelley, 35, and brother, Quentin Kelley, 7, escaped and were taken to hospitals where their conditions weren't immediately available.
Shenango Township Fire Chief Dave Rishel says the fire started around 3 a.m. and quickly engulfed the home's first and second floors.
Rishel says the intense heat made it unsafe for firefighters to immediately search the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
