John Richard Scott Jr., 62, of Shaler, Allegheny County, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born on March 8, 1952, in New Kensington to the late John R. “Jack” Scott and Vera Parshook Scott.

John was a U.S. Air Force veteran from the Vietnam War era. He was a member of the American Legion Post 117 of Butler.

John worked for Mike Kelly Chevrolet Cadillac.

Mr. Scott is survived by his son, Nikolai Scott of Shaler; his brother, William “Bill” Leon Scott of Butler; his three sisters, Valentina Kay and her husband, Thomas, of Harrisville, Keria Marie Wulff and her husband, Barry, of Butler, and Thaisa Scott of Butler, and his former wife, Sue Henry Scott of Shaler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leon Scott.

Scott — The friends of John Richard Scott Jr., who passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, will be received from 10 a.m. to the time of services at noon Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Nikolai Breckenridge of the St. John the Baptist Church in New Kennsington, officiating.
