David L. Franz
David L. Franz, 54, of Zelienople passed away unexpectedly Tuesday.
Born Oct. 31, 1956, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Helen (Robb) Franz of Zelienople and the late William A. Franz.
David was a member of Teutonia Mannerchor, the Conway Sportsman Club, the Harmony Moose Lodge 957, the Hungarian Club and the Shanty Point Hunting Camp.
He was an avid reader who enjoyed white water rafting, the outdoors, hunting and gardening. He enjoyed growing German beer radishes. Above all, his dogs were a very important part of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Cathe (Crosby) Franz, who he married Dec. 28, 1996; two children, Saxon Franz of Sewickley and Emily McGee and her husband, Thomas, of Pleasant Hills; three brothers, William A. Franz and his wife, Barbara, of Ohio, Robert Franz and his wife, Susan, of Harmony and Thomas Franz of Portersville; his sister, Susan Gold of Marshall Township; and his precious granddaughter, Madigan McGee.
