Daniel R. 'Digger' Watson

Daniel R. “Digger” Watson, 44, of Harmony passed away Sunday.

Born on April 4, 1970, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Connie Nicklas Watson of Harmony and the late Gerald G. “Jerry” Watson, who passed away on Aug. 27, 1993.

Dan was raised and lived on the Watson Farm his entire life. For more than 30 years, he worked as a truck driver for Butler Refrigeration.

He was a past member of the Portersville Fire Department and was an active member of the Harmony Moose and the Local BCO.

An excellent outdoor grill master at cookouts, Dan also enjoyed going on hunting trips and vacations with his friends, but above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly remembered for his loving and compassionate nature by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his mother, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Renae Friedt and her husband, Jerry, of Harmony; his brother, Howard Watson of Harmony; his niece, Linsey Watson; his nephew, Leo Watson; his cousin, Mike Watson and his wife, Cindy, and their children, Emily, Tanner, Hunter and Cole, all of Portersville; and his numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle.

Watson— Dan's family will welcome friends of Daniel R. “Digger” Watson, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at theBoylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Hurray officiating. Dan will be laid to rest at the Portersville Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Portersville.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his honor in support of the Harmony Moose Lodge 957, 270 Mercer St., Harmony, PA 16037, or to a charity of the donor's choice.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Dan's family at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
