Drew James Donoghue

Drew James Donoghue, 26, of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of Butler, passed away Feb. 12. at his residence.

He was born May 9, 1991, in West Covina, Calif., to James J. Donoghue and Darlene Steighner Donoghue.

Drew worked for Sony Music in Boyers from 2009 until 2017.

He was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.

Drew was a member of the Slippery Rock University Soccer Alumni. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Drew liked to play soccer and hockey.

He graduated from Butler High School and went on to Slippery Rock University to earn a bachelor of arts in political science.

Drew is survived by his mother, Darlene Steighner Donoghue of Butler; his father, James J. Donoghue of Grove City; one brother, Eric F. Steighner of Treasure Island, Fla.; his grandparents, Francis and Joan Steighner of Butler; three aunts, Cheryl Steighner (Dave) Ackerlund of Minburn, Iowa, Joy Steighner (Brian) Loska of Howard, Ohio, and Melody Donoghue of Arcadia, Calif.; two uncles, Francis Steighner of Margate, Fla., and William (Noreen) Donoghue of West Chester, Pa.; and two nieces, Maranna Steighner of Butler and Kayla Hooton of Toledo, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by one grandfather, Richard Donoghue; one grandmother, Mary Donoghue; and one uncle, Richard Donoghue.

DONOGHUE — A memorial service for Drew James Donoghue, who died Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N.
