John DeWalt

John DeWalt, 77, of Sarver passed away at 8:55 p.m. Sunday surrounded by his family.

He was born June 16, 1936, in Greensburg, Westmoreland County.

John was the owner and operator of DeWalt's World of Health. He was an avid runner and ran in many ultra marathons.

John is survived by two sons, John DeWalt and his wife, Danna, of Sarver and Daniel DeWalt and his wife, Sheila, of Cabot; four daughters, Diane Novotny and her husband, Tony, of Cabot, Sandra McCafferty and her husband, Kevin, of Butler, Linda Sudano and her husband, John, of Sarver and Barbara Lang and her husband, Gary, of Sarver; and 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara E. DeWalt, who he married June 11, 1960, and who passed away on March 4, 2011, and one great-grandson, Finley Novotny.
