Charles Beblo
Charles Stephen Beblo, 72, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, in Harrisonburg, Va.
He was born Feb. 12, 1950, in Butler, and was a son of the late Peter Beblo and Mary (Chajka) Beblo.
He was a graduate of Butler High School, and had worked as the maintenance supervisor for AGIP Oil, retiring in September 2012.
He was a life member of the R.C. Men’s Club and the East Butler Fire Hall. He was a member of the Chicora Moose and its golf league, and American Legion Post 117 in Butler. He was an avid golfer and had enjoyed skiing, watching football and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and had served in the U.S. Army, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.
Surviving is his wife, Loretta (Thomas) Beblo, whom he married Nov. 13, 1999.
He is also survived by one son, Joseph (Lucy) Burger; one daughter, Melissa Beblo; his grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Matthew, Salvatore, Keoni (Jake) and Chance; his great- grandchildren, Willow, Aurora and Noah; and one brother, Peter Beblo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Beblo.
BEBLO — Friends of Charles Stephen Beblo, who died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home followed by military honors by the VFW/American Legion Honor Guard.
