East Brady Riverfest offers many activities
EAST BRADY, Clarion County — Get the sunscreen ready and head to the 25th annual East Brady Riverfest being held July 16, 17 and 18 at Graham Field, the old high school football field.
Riverfest starts at 6:30 p.m. July 16 with a firemen's parade.
The weekend-long event also will feature food and craft vendors, live music, games, a children's craft corner, a 3-point basketball shooting tournament for muscular dystrophy, a motorcycle show and dice run sponsored by the Clarion County Chapter of A.B.A.T.E., and fireworks.
In recent years, hometown star and former NFL quarterback Jim Kelly attended the festival. Last year, Cpl. Kevin Kammerdiener, who had served with the 73rd Airborne Brigade, received a Purple Heart medal for injuries he sustained while serving in Afghanistan.
Located on the Allegheny River, the annual festival also attracts boaters for sun and water fun.
