pet peeves

Here are a number of pet peeves that I wonder if anyone else has:

1. Please observe the street signs and signals. STOP means stop not roll through. Please don't park where you are not supposed to - ex. yellow painted areas - they are there for a purpose. One way streets are just that ONE way - don't try to go the wrong way!

2. People not tipping when in a restaurant. I can understand if you don't receive good service, however if you do receive good service - let the waiter/waitresses know as they only make a few dollars an hour as it is ASSUMED they will make tips.

3. Please - if you have to chew gum or anything in public - DO IT QUIETLY! No one wants to hear a COW (if we do, we will go to the farm) and don't crack your gum - it is so annoying and if you are trying to concentrate on something, it is very disruptive! And please put it in the proper container (waste) when you are finished instead of the ground!

4. If you are in class in a computer classroom, please don't use the computer (if you're not instructed to) to check out your FB or your e-mail while the teacher/instructor is speaking. It is very rude and ignorant. The click click click is oh so disturbing.

5. If you are walking your dog in any other areas other than your own property, it is YOUR responsibility to clean up after said dogs. No one wants to step in doggy doo, especially if they have none of their own.

6. And on the subject of animals, how about all the cats (not always strays) in the city. Please keep in your own yard. I don't want to be responsible or live with the possibility of hitting one with my car. If it comes to hitting another car or a cat, guess what - the cat is history! The cat loses.

7. At the grocery store (yes especially WalMart), please be aware of others around you when you are going around a corner of an aisle. Also if you are looking at something on one side of the aisle, please have your cart on that side....duh there's not enough room as it is - as to have inconsiderate shoppers hogging up all the area. EXCUSE ME usually works but shouldn't have to be said. It should be implied as a general courtesy.

8. PARENTS in the city - where are your children. Are they in the neighbors yard or on the neighbors porch (especially the elderly) or riding on a skateboard while lying down (and at night to boot?) If one of us would hit a so called child, you would be the first to sue us. Get a grip, it's a street, not a playground.

9. Bicycle riders - while I have respect that you are trying to be GREEN, please respect the traffic laws as they are made for all of us - YOU do have to STOP at stop signs and please use signals if you are making a turn. Please make sure you have reflectives somewhere on your person.

10. Why does it take 3 city cop cars to pull over for a traffic violation. I have seen this occur on more than one occasion. Are there only 1 of you with a pen to write the citation?

Do I need anger management, NO just people who are responsible and considerate of others! WAKE UP PEOPLE!
