Ambrose

Edward Ambrose, 87, of Cabot, passed away Feb. 8, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 5, 1935, in Cabot, he was the son of Andrew Ambrose and Judit Klinko Ambrose.

Ed worked various jobs in the maintenance department at the Butler County Mushroom Farm for 40 years.

He was a member of Crosswinds Alliance Church.

He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR racing, Western TV shows, and collecting irons and Victrolas.

Surviving are two sons, Edward (Guizhi) Ambrose of Butler and Jeff (Pam) Ambrose of Cabot; his brother, Steve (Betty) Ambrose of Cabot; his sister, Ruth Dunn of Georgia; six grandchildren, Joseph Ambrose, Mark Ambrose, Megan (Josh) Gayhart, Brandi (Carlos Maxwell) Ambrose, Lacey (Jake) Kessler and Darian Wolf; and six great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Charles, Walter, Riley, Ariana and Anaiah.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patty Lou Thompson Ambrose; his brothers, Andrew, George, Bill and Dusan; and two sisters, Olga Johns and MaryAnn Ambrose.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Butler Memorial Hospital ICU for the wonderful care that was given to Ed.

AMBROSE — Friends of Edward Ambrose, who died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023, will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matt Lower officiating.

Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
