Anna June Fisher, 82, of East Brady died Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 9, 1924, in Madison Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Walton E. and Cathryn D. Stewart Steele.

She was a 1942 graduate of East Brady High School, and a 1945 graduate of Butler County Memorial Hospital Training School for Nurses.

She retired as a registered nurse, having worked at Southwest Florida Medical Center, Fort Myers, Fla., for six years, Butler Memorial Hospital for 14 years and at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, Fla., for five years.

A member of First Presbyterian Church, East Brady, she enjoyed reading, traveling and crocheting.

Mrs.Fisher was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 402, East Brady, and the Red Hat Society — East Brady Chapter.

Surviving are two brothers, Dean Ellsworth Steele of Elkmont, Ala., and Stewart C. Steele of East Brady; a sister, Barbara Kay DeCorte of Bradford, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.
