William J. Anderson

William J. Anderson, 81, of Boyers passed away at home with family at his side Thursday.

Bill was born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 14, 1936, to Frank G. Anderson and Elizabeth A. (Mahoney) Anderson.

He graduated in 1955 from Carrick High School in Pittsburgh and was employed at the Clerk of Courts for Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and as an agent supervisor in the Office of the Inspector General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania until his retirement in 2001.

Bill was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Parish in Slippery Rock and was a longtime member of the St. Anthony Church choir in Forestville, Pa.

Bill's love, strong-will, honesty and sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his sons, Patrick J. (Dori) of Pittsburgh, Eric W. of West Sunbury, and Kevin M. of Houston, Texas; his daughter, Karen L. (Todd Smith) Czech of Eau Claire; and his 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank G. Anderson Jr.; his sister, Betty F. Anderson; a granddaughter, Hannah Anderson; and his wife of 54 years, Kathleen G. (Moffat) Anderson.

ANDERSON — A viewing for William J. Anderson, who died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Jamison-McKinley Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville.A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Church in Forestville with burial at St. Anthony Cemetery in Harrisville.Donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.Friends can email condolences by visiting www.jamisonfuneralhome.com.
