JEFFERSON TWP — The new business manager approved for hire in the South Butler School District last month resigned before starting work.

Tammi Kinzel, who worked at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit for 20 years, will not be starting the job. She was approved for a five-year contract starting at $93,000 a year. District spokesman Jason Davidek said another candidate likely will be hired at next week's school board meeting.

Debbie Brandstetter left the business manager position at South Butler to take over in the same role at Butler School District.

Net profit fell 9.4 percent.A stronger franc shrinks earnings in euros, dollars and other currencies when those earnings are restated in francs. Martello said that the stronger franc had primarily a translation effect on the figures since Nestle makes products in the same countries where it sells them, removing the currency impact on the actual business.
