Allegheny Health Network has named Dr. Gursimran S. Kochhar to chief of the division of gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.

Kochhar served as the division’s associate chief, director of advanced endoscopy and medical operations officer for the AHN Medicine Institute after joining AHN in 2018.

He has completed a residency in internal medicine and a general gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic as well as an advanced endoscopy fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.

Kochhar earned his medical degree from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in India, and is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
