Donna L. Hoover
Donna L. Hoover, 79, of Claytonia passed away unexpectedly at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at her home.
Donna was born Jan. 28, 1936, in Clay Township, Butler County. She was the daughter of the late Lewis L. Grossman and Dorothy E. McCandless Grossman.
She was a member of Claytonia Church of the Nazarene. She was a homemaker and loved raising her grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Tracey (Ron) Donaldson of Slippery Rock; two sons, Gilbert (Nancy) Hoover Jr. of Valencia and Tim (Julie) Hoover of Mercer; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are seven sisters, Sara “Sis” Brown, Joann Surrena, Nancy Ferguson, Pearl Schlatz, Connie Reeder, Cindy Marshall and Terrie Riddle; five brothers, Harold “Sim” Grossman, Keith “Ron” Grossman, Rick Grossman, Joe Grossman and John “Butch” Grossman; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Hoover, who passed away Nov. 4, 2012; two sisters, and three brothers.
Hoover— The family of Donna L. Hoover, who passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Additional visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at noon Friday at Claytonia Church of the Nazarene, 544 Halston Road, West Sunbury, with the Rev. Tim Britton, her pastor, officiating.
