Mowery

Carol Sue Mowery, 72, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side.

She was born on Oct. 12, 1950, and was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ceola (Jack) Rodgers.

Carol was employed for 43 years at Butler Memorial Hospital as a central sterile tech, until her retirement in 2012.

She loved bears and had a large collection of bear figurines. Carol enjoyed bowling, playing cards, board games with the grandchildren, baking cookies, bingo and trips to the casino.

She will be sadly missed by her beloved son, Paul (Jennifer) Mowery; her grandchildren, Kylee, Noah and Emma Mowery; her sister, Reba Doutt; and her brother-in-law, William Lackey.

She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Lenny Rodgers; her sister, Phyllis Lackey; an infant daughter; her great-niece, Chelsey Lackey; and her great-nephew, Nathan Eakin.

MOWERY — Family and friends of Carol Sue Mowery, who died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
