Aurelia “Sis” Seelnacht, 90, of Saxonburg, passed away on Feb. 2, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Jan. 5, 1933, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Otto Tietz Sr. and Elda Degenhardt Tietz.

Aurelia had worked at North Side Packing in Pittsburgh, and Zacherl’s Tavern in Saxonburg.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot. She enjoyed reading, traveling, going camping and collecting Indians.

Surviving are her husband, William “Mike” Seelnacht, whom she married May 10, 1952; six daughters, Joyce (Bob) Dent of Claridge, Pa., Sandra (Gary) Steighner of Rimersburg, Barbara (Leo John) Cypher of Cabot, Sharon Juris of Pleasantville, Pa., Trish (Artie) Snodgrass of Butler, and Billie Jo (Adam) Edwards of Ford City; her sister, Karen (Jim) Wertz of Trafford, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Otto Tietz Jr. and Cleason Tietz; and one sister, Elda “Gink” McClelland.

SEELNACHT — Friends of Aurelia “Sis” Seelnacht, who died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, Cabot, with the Rev. Ben Berteau officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.
