Thornbury

Sandra A. Thornbury, 68, of Slippery Rock, passed away at home on Jan. 29, 2023, following an extended illness.

Born July, 11, 1954, Sandra was the daughter of the late H. John and Ruth Felix.

Sandra graduated from Moniteau High School. She worked at various cleaning jobs and worked the shipping department of Wendell August Forge.

On July 8, 1989, Sandra married John Thornbury who preceded her in death.

Sandra enjoyed reading, walking, mowing, crocheting, camping, traveling, drawing, painting and watching TV. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and her grand dog, Bella.

Loved ones left to cherish Sandra’s memory are her children, Andrew (Samantha) Thornbury of Slippery Rock, John (Debby) Thornbury of West Sunbury, Tami Montell of State College, Veda (Gary) Whiteman of Whitefish, Mont., and Patrick (Kathleen) Thornbury of Slippery Rock; two grandchildren, Sabrina and Olivia Thornbury; and her siblings, Connie Wiley of Mercer, Robert Felix of Parker, Kenny (Karen) of Farrell, Doris Walters of Mercer and Kathleen (Patrick) Thornbury of Slippery Rock.

Along with her husband, Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Shirl and Daniel Felix.

THORNBURY — There are no services planned at this time for Sandra A. Thornbury, who died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023.
