Thieleman

Donald C. Thieleman, 90, of Mars, passed away on Thursday morning, Jan. 26, 2023, at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Mars on April 6, 1932, he was the son of the late E. Raymond and Marie L. Kidd Thieleman.

Don retired from North Pittsburgh Telephone Company, where he served as a construction foreman for 35 years.

He was a member of LifePointe Alliance Church where he served as an elder for many years.

Surviving are his daughter, Virginia Myerchin (Steve) of Fort Collins, Colo.; a son, Michael Thieleman (Kim) of Cleveland, Tenn.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

He is also survived by a sister, Bernice Kelly, and two brothers, George and William Thieleman, all of Mars; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Mae Purvis Thieleman, whom he married on Sept. 5, 1952, and who died on Dec. 22, 2018; his sisters, Eleanor Thieleman and Frances Baillee; a brother, Elmer Thieleman; and a son, Bob Hagens.

THIELEMAN — Friends of Donald C. Thieleman, who died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Additional visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars.

Services will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church with the Rev. Paul Cope officiating.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery.
