Rebecca Ann Schmid of New Castle, formerly of Green Tree, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Jan. 22, 2023.

Born Jan. 31, 1968, she was the beloved daughter of William and Lorraine Schmid; the loving sister of Valerie and Deno Castellano; and the cherished aunt and godmother of Deno and Aribella, whom she adored more than anything.

Rebecca is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who will all miss her dearly.

Rebecca’s family extends their gratitude to Jameson Hospital for their compassionate care of Rebecca.

SCHMID — Family and friends of Rebecca Ann Schmid, who died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, are all welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.

A service celebrating Rebecca’s life will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor John Nuzzo officiating.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Kilian Church with the Rev. Charles Bober officiating.

Entombment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
