Calvin T. Rasp
Calvin T. Rasp, 89, of Zelienople passed away Monday at Chicora Medical Center.
Born Aug. 31, 1926, in Fox Chapel, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Sarah V. (Eisele) Rasp.
For many years, Calvin owned and operated Rasp's Greenhouse in Evans City. Calvin retired from LTV Steel as a carpenter in 1989 after 43 years of service.
He was a former member of Evans City Lions Club. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, hunting and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Ruth E. (Knauff) Rasp, who he married June 2, 1948; his daughters, Marsha A. (Robert) Jordan of Butler and Mary L. (Kirk) Jordan of Zelienople; his son, Douglas C. Rasp and Amber Tilko of Renfrew; his grandchildren, Kirk, Scott, Kate, Megan, Lindsay and Marissa; his great-grandchildren, Taylor, Chase, Eva, Luke, Helena, Jordan, Maxson and Elena; his twin brother, Charles Rasp of Evans City; his sisters, Dorothy Bray of Chicora and Sarah Graham of Slippery Rock; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Rasp of Evans City and Mary K. Hill of Zelienople.
In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his brother, William Rasp; his sister, Florence Frew; and his granddaughter, Lizabeth.
RASP — A private family service for Calvin T. Rasp, who died Monday, June 6, 2016, will be conducted with the Rev. Brandon Johns officiating. He will be laid to rest at Evans City Cemetery.If desired, memorial donations may be made in his honor to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 202 Van Buren St., Evans City, PA 16033.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, Inc., 324 E.
