BUTLER TWP — The recently rained out Butler County American League All-Star Game has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. Sunday at Highfield Park.

Players from all 10 BCAL teams will participate in the nine-inning contest. Butler City manager Jerry Piroch and Meridian skipper Butch Master — the longest tenured coaches in the league — will be head coaches of the respective squads.

Butler Road Race awards Wednesday

Butler Road Race, Inc., Board of Directors will present awards for the five-mile portion of the event from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in downtown Butler's Diamond Park.

The top three in each age division receive awards. Other awards and plaques will also be presented. Check www.runhigh.com for race results and a breakdown of age divisions.

Those unable to attend Wednesday will receive their awards by mail.

GREENSBURG — Mars resident Casey Morrow placed first in the 14-15 girls division at Monday's Kings Restaurants Junior Golf Tournament at Hannastown Golf Course. She managed a 78 (38-40).Hamilton finishes 2K at BRRJordie Hamilton, of Butler, competed in the 70-over division of Saturday's 2K walk as part of the Butler Road Race. She finished in a time of 21 minutes and 53 seconds, but was omitted from the results posted on www.runhigh.com.
