Church will host Strawberry Fest

MIDDLESEX TWP — Middlesex Presbyterian Church, 116 Church Road, will host a Strawberry Festival beginning at 5 p.m. Friday.

The event will feature hot sausage sandwiches, side dishes, freshly squeezed lemonade and whole strawberry pies, as well as a variety of other desserts.

Reservations due for 70th reunion

The January and June Butler High School classes of 1945 will celebrate their 70th reunion at noon June 27 at Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave., Lyndora.

Block party set for church

MARS — Dutilh Church’s New Day Campus at 525 Pittsburgh St., will have a community block party from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the church.

There will be free hot dogs, hamburgers, games and prizes.

Church planning community picnic

WEST SUNBURY — Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, will host the Community Day Picnic, rain or shine, beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Country for Fun Band and Wilbur the Wizard will perform. There also will be yard games.

Hot dogs, s’mores, and drinks will be provided. Take a lawn chair and a dish to share.

Church hosts free children’s event

Living Waters Church, 311 Second St., will have Kidzone from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The free event for children will feature face painting, balloon animals, games, storytelling and more.

Local author will make library visit

CRANBERRY TWP — Local author J.J. Hensley will visit the Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Hensley will discuss his books, “Measure Twice” and “Resolve.” He will sign copies of his books after the event for those who take them.

Senior driving courses offered

Seniors for Safe Driving will host the following classes for those age 55 and older:

• 1 to 5 p.m. July 7, Grove City Senior Center

• 4 to 8 p.m. July 14, Butler Senior Center, 10 Austin Ave., Lyndora

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 15, Concordia, Haven II, Cabot

• 5 to 9 p.m. July 23, Farmers National Bank, 20581 Route 19, Cranberry Township

• 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 24, Butler Memorial Hospital

Seniors completing the course will receive a 5 percent reduction in their automobile insurance premiums for three years.
