Brady Township’s website goes live
BRADY TWP — Google and you shall find.
Brady Township supervisors announced at a meeting Tuesday that its website, offering details about agendas, meetings, right-to-know requests, ordinances and general township information, is live.
The Brady Township website launched Dec. 27, 2022, according to township supervisors.
Visitors to Brady can find the site at bradytwp.us. The site, which formed through website builder GoDaddy, is accessible on desktop and mobile devices, said Michelle Thompson, township secretary and treasurer.
“It’s working good,” Supervisor Darlene Covert told Thompson.
The township also appointed a new emergency management coordinator to enact plans in the event of crisis situations.
Ryan Hanchosky, who serves as fire chief for Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company, was approved to fill the role in a unanimous vote from the board.
Duties associated with the role include maintaining a list of residents who’d need extra assistance during an evacuation and managing equipment for emergencies.
Hanchosky, who addressed the township at the beginning of the meeting, said the Slippery Rock department responded to a record high number of calls last year, totaling 1,457 calls. Of these, 37 were in Brady Township, he said.
He added that the department received a new fire truck recently and that it should receive a new ambulance in the fall of 2023.
“We appreciate everyone’s support,” he said. “Couldn’t do it without everyone, so look forward to working with everyone in 2023. And if you guys ever need anything, we’re only a phone call away.”
