Catherine L. “Catie” Hays, 64, of Karns City, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at her residence.

She was born May 7, 1958, in Punxsutawney, and was the daughter of the late Dale Edwin Yoas and Emogene (Adamson) Yoas Massey.

Surviving is her daughter, Amanda (Frank) Farone of Karns City; her grandchildren, Austin and Julianna Farone; two sisters, Judith (Thomas) Wellman of New Castle and Barbara (Kent Snyder) Goss of Summerfield, Fla.; her brother, Richard (Ronda) Yoas of Renfrew; and her dog, Rosie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

HAYS — Friends of Catherine L. “Catie” Hays, who died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. Thursday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with Pastor Pete Sapp officiating.

Burial will be private.
