Richard C. Jones Jr.
Richard C. Jones Jr., 74, of Middlesex Township passed away Wednesday.
Born July 1, 1942, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Richard and Edna Howard Jones Sr. He worked for the Pittsburgh Press.
Richard loved motorcycles. He owned a Harley- Davidson and belonged to the Pittsburgh HOG Chapter 2224.
He was a loving father and proud grandfather, who loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly, and her husband, Lou Allison; three sons, Steven, and his wife, Mary, Scott and his wife, Lori, and Rich and his wife, Stacey; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his companion of 16 years, Nancy Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jacquelin Hannigan Jones, and his brother, Timothy.
JONES — The family of Richard C. Jones Jr., who died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the King Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.
A funeral service will follow immediately at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
He will be laid to rest privately at the Lakewood Memorial Gardens in Cheswick.
In lieu of flowers, the Richard’s family suggests donations be made for lung cancer research to Allegheny Cancer Center, Attention Crystal Ross, 320 E. North Ave., Pittsburgh, where Richard’s youngest son is currently receiving treatment for lung and brain cancer. Thank you.
