Giovanna "Jennie" Neupert, 78, of 118 Center Lane, Box 56, Manorville, died Friday at ACMH Hospital.

Born Dec. 7, 1931, in West Deer, she was the daughter of Julia Minda and Fioravante Digiacobbe.

She lived in Manorville for 12 years.

She married John L. Neupert.

She had multiple jobs in the Moonlight Mushroom Mine, where she worked for 36 years.

She attended Harbrack High School and was extremely proud when she earned her GED in 1988, 33 years later.

She enjoyed NASCAR racing, especially Dale Earnhardt. She spent a lot of time walking and caring for dogs, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Richard A. Pacek of Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Andrea (Kevin) Brewer of Natrona Heights and Barbara A. Waltenbaugh of Philadelphia; a brother, Anthony (Eleanor) Digiacobbe of Lower Burrell; and a sister-in-law, Rosetta Digiacobbe. She has 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Luigi Digiacobbe.

<B>NEUPERT</B> — Friends of Giovanna "Jennie" Neupert, who died Friday, June 18, 2010, were received Sunday at the <B>Mantini Funeral Home</B>, 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. A funeral service was to be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Crofutt officiating.
